Cedar Lake Youth Baseball (CLYB) would like to thank you for considering a donation with our organization for the 2025 baseball season.     We are a 501(c)(3) organization that is focused on assisting the youth of our community in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork, and leadership.   We are in a rapidly growing community and the organization needs to grow along with it. 

Your money helps defray the cost for our players.   We work hard to keep our registration fees lower than the surrounding towns to allow everyone the opportunity to play.   Also, a percentage of all sponsorships/ donations goes into our Grant program to allow those who can’t afford any fees to still play.   Finally, your donation helps us maintain and upgrade our complex. 

So, it is with great pleasure to share that because of the past support of our donations and sponsors, we now have enough funding to place lights on our large field.    Three years ago, when we set our Big Goals, we thought it would take us four to five years to achieve this goal, but because of our amazing sponsors’ support we achieved it in less than three years.    While we were saving and planning on our goal of getting the lights, we were also able to upgrade around our facilities by…

·       revamp our Junior mound to allow for different divisions,

·       update our player equipment,

·       add security features to our concession stand,

·       add field dirt stockpiles to keep fields playable,  

·       fund our grant program that allowed six children to play in 2024 that might not have played because of cost,

·       allow us to keep our fee’s considerably lower than surrounding towns,

·       most importantly allow many children the opportunity to play baseball.   

We have also set some new BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) for the growth of the organization that will require your help.    To keep up with demand in the next five years and into the future, we need to…

·       add an indoor training facility to our current site ($120,000),

·       revamp our concession stand ($15,000),

·       revamp the T-Ball, Minor’s, and Babe Ruth dugouts ($15,000),

·       and add land for more fields and parking so we can keep growing as our enrollment grows ($TBD).  

 As you can see, these are lofty and expensive goals, and we will not be able to achieve them with just the player enrollment fees.   So, your help is greatly needed and very much appreciated.    These goals are lofty and expensive.    We have a long way to go to reach even one of the larger goals, but we have proven that we can achieve these goals with your help.   We once again thank you for your support and for any donation amount.   If you would like to donate, please reach out us [email protected] or Venmo us at ...  Thank You very much from the CLYB Board!
